Anyone who joins ecoverde is doing something for the environment.
The capital invested is used to plant kiri trees on our plantation in North Macedonia – they are at the heart of the ecoverde partnership. They are the fastest growing trees in the world and absorb significantly more CO2 from the atmosphere than native species.

Ecoverde offers an innovative way to focus on growth. There
are various models to choose from.
With ecoverde, you become a partner for at least eight years. Depending on which package you choose, a certain number of trees will grow for you in North Macedonia. During the growth phase, you collect CO2 credits. And when the trees are felled, you benefit from the sale of wood.

With our tree partnership, payments are made from the sale of wood after 6, 7 and 8 years. We practice sustainable agriculture by not cutting down the trees all at once, but only harvesting a third of the area each year. In this way we promote CO2 sequestration, as young trees store more CO2 than older ones.

As an ecoverde partner, you receive annual CO2 credits in accordance with the
Gold Standard. You have four options for using the credits:

QUESTIONS
All water comes from wells on site. Usually several wells are drilled to achieve the desired amount. The wells are connected to an irrigation system. The water is distributed to the trees via a modern drip irrigation system.
We use fallow agricultural land, which is given a new purpose by planting our Kiri trees. We are currently planting them exclusively with Kiri trees – but we are intensively testing which additional plant varieties are suitable for growing together with the Kiri tree. This is because the permanent cultivation of monocultures has consequences for the soil, flora, fauna, animals and humans. Growing the same plants over and over again quickly depletes the soil and the harvest becomes smaller and smaller. We are therefore trying to find a solution for this.
In addition to the financial provision for the customer trees over the term, ecoverde uses the profits to plant its own trees in order to also participate in the sustainable business model. This way, everyone benefits equally – and nature of course.
Kiri trees grow particularly quickly and bind CO2 very effectively. They can grow two meters tall in just one year. A Kiri tree can save forty times more CO2 in 20 years than a native oak. Kiri trees are extremely robust and easy to care for – the wood is light, flame-retardant, stable and resistant to pests. Kiri trees offer a cost-effective and sustainable solution for wood production.
We offer different packages for a partnership. Whether you are a “novice” (30 trees at CHF 5,850 each) or a “superhero” (1,200 trees at CHF 174,000 each): With CO2 credits and wood yield, our packages ensure an annual and long-term return.
